# Cerro Bayo

Cerro Bayo is a mountain in the Andes located in the southwest of the province of Neuquén, Argentina.

It is located 9 km northeast of the city of Villa La Angostura, in an area dominated by glacial lakes and the natural vegetation of the Patagonian forest. The base has an altitude of 1050 m, and its highest elevation is 1782 m above sea level.

The climatic conditions are cold and humid, but very mild, due to the protection offered by the surrounding hills and the moderation provided by the huge lake basin nearby. The minimum temperatures in June are close to -4ºC and the maximum temperatures in October are around 11ºC.
