# San Cassiano

San Cassiano is a charming little village at an altitude of 1500 meters, nestled between the massifs of Lavarella, Conturines, Lagazuoi and Settsass, San Cassiano is the starting point for beautiful excursions in Alta Badia. 
In winter, it is a skiing paradise: in a short time you can reach the Armentarola slope and the famous "Sellaronda", the route of the Sella Group. For the little ones, we recommend the Tru liösa Foram toboggan run, about 3 kilometers long, which starts on the Piz Sorega plateau, at 2000 meters, and goes all the way to San Cassiano.
Also worth a visit are the Five Towers Open Air Museum, where the Italian army established its artillery headquarters, and the nearby Fanes - Senes - Braies Natural Park.
