# El Colorado

El Colorado is a Chilean ski resort located 39 km from Santiago. Located in the Andes Mountains, it can be reached in approximately one hour by paved road. It is located on Colorado Hill, with a maximum altitude of 3300 m above sea level and a 903 m difference in altitude. It receives abundant and short snowfalls with an average of 3.5 m of snow precipitation in a normal year, which makes it an important winter tourist destination in the Metropolitan Region.
