# Les Gets

In the ski resort of Les Gets, on the southern edge of the large Portes du Soleil ski resort, historical traces and modern winter tourism come together in a perfect combination. The traditional chalet village, whose origins date back to the 11th century, has retained its authentic charm to this day and is characterised by its typical regional architecture in stone and wood. At the same time, the complete offer for skiers is above average and satisfies all possible demands, as is the exceptional location of the small winter sports centre at 1,172 metres between Lake Geneva and the majestic summit of Mont Blanc. From there, skiers have the ski resort of Les Gets/Morzine or the entire ski area of the Portes du Soleil at their disposal. Winter sports enthusiasts who opt for the smaller ski resort of Les Gets/Morzine definitely need not fear boredom. A total of 66 slopes of all levels of difficulty are available over 120 kilometres and are linked by 48 lifts. For cross-country skiers there are 12 kilometres of excellently groomed cross-country ski runs.
