# Osorno

Osorno is a city in south central Chile, on the Rahue River. The 18th century Fort Reina Luisa is located next to the river. The Municipal Historical Museum has exhibits on Mapuche culture and the 19th century German settlers who built the nearby mansions. Nearby is the Centro de Artesanía Local with craft stalls and the neo-Gothic Cathedral of San Mateo. East of Osorno are the forests and volcanoes of Puyehue National Park.
