# Leogang

The down-to-earth holiday village of Leogang with around 3,300 inhabitants looks back on a long history and mining tradition. Winter sports enthusiasts can access the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn ski circus directly from the Asitz and find perfect slopes and a true freeride paradise.
While the small and tranquil town was previously known primarily for its mining industry, high-alpine tourism first took root here at the beginning of the 20th century. With the Leogang mountain railways you can get straight into the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn - with almost 270 kilometers of slopes, one of the largest ski areas in Austria. Thanks to the new Ski ALPIN CARD, two more top ski areas were added the Schmittenhöhe ski area in Zell am See and the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area in Kaprun, which is open all year round. The new ticket network now offers access to a total of 408 kilometers of slopes, 121 lifts and numerous ski huts.
In summer, hikers will find well-maintained hiking trails and cozy shelters and alpine pastures on the Asitz and the Leogang Steinberge. Families will find their great happiness on the Asitz, the mountain of the senses.
