# Temuco

Temuco is a central city in Chile, south of Santiago. Its large central square, Plaza Aníbal Pinto, is adorned with imported palm trees. Nearby is the Museo Regional de la Araucanía, a colonial building that houses Mapuche costumes and decorative objects, along with archeological artifacts, such as funeral urns. To the northeast is the Cerro Ñielol Natural Monument, a hill forested with olive and laurel trees.
