# Mölltaler Gletscher

The village of Flattach, with 1,300 residents, lies in the middle of the Region Nationalpark Hohe Tauern at the foot of Carinthia’s only all-year-round ski region, the Mölltaler Gletscher glacier.

 In just a few minutes you can be more than 3,000 metres above sea level, enjoying the breathtaking panorama and wedeling across pistes with a uniform grip. 16 national ski teams, including those from Germany and Austria, also use the Mölltaler Gletscher as their training area.

If you are looking for activity off-piste, be sure not to miss a rafting tour or a kayak trip in the Mölltal white water arena, or the wild yet romantic Raggaschlucht gorge, a wonder of nature that fascinates both young and old: the water is sometimes roaring and plummeting, sometimes peaceful and clear, and it is all set within mountain scenery that goes back millions of years. The Mölltal Glacier is Carinthia's only glacier ski area and a top destination for winter sports enthusiasts from November to May.
