# Val di Fassa

Winter turns Val di Fassa into a real skiing paradise. All the valley's ski areas are part of the Dolomiti Superski area, the world's largest association of skiing areas. Lifts and gondolas operate even in summer, which can be very useful for long and challenging hikes in the mountains. Steeped in tradition, the valleys have a very special charm. The valley is characterised by the Avisio river and, thanks to such famous mountains as the Sella Group or the legendary Marmolada, it is one of the most renowned Alpine valleys. Val di Fassa is, by the way, the only valley in Trentino where the Ladin language is still spoken.
