# Isola 2000

At the end of the 1960s the go ahead was given for one of the youngest skiing resorts in the French Alps, before Isola 2000 was finally opened in 1971. Ski-tourists in the same named piste-district Isola 2000 can benefit from optimal snow conditions throughout the whole season, thanks to the location of the resort on the Plateau de Chastillon, where plenty of snow is guaranteed. At the same time, the short distance to the south coast of France ensures plenty of sun and a touch of mediterranean climate.

The resort Isola 2000, however, is not only known for its ideal climate conditions, but also for the „all-in-one-principle“, according to which it was designed. The higher located centre of Isola 2000 only actually consists of a single large building complex; the ground floor of which has an enormous shopping arcade. Here ski-tourists can find all the shops, services and gastronomical facilities, which contribute to an all-round successful skiing holiday.
