# Cavalese

Cavalese is a popular holiday resort, especially in winter, when numerous ski slopes connect the village directly with the nearby ski area. Numerous sports and leisure activities await you. 
Also in summer, Cavalese offers numerous activities as well as relaxing days in the open air. Hikers can enjoy numerous trails and paths and discover the surrounding landscape on foot, by bike or on horseback. The village is also rich in religious sites: the 17th century Church of San Vigilio, the Parish Church of Santa Maria Assunta and the adjacent Sanctuary of the Madonna Addolorata, as well as the Church of San Sebastiano with its spectacular tower, situated in close proximity to the Palazzo della Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme.
