# Las Trancas

Las Trancas is a mountain town located in the commune of Pinto, in the Ñuble Region, Chile. It is considered a tourist area due to its proximity to the Nevados de Chillán Volcanic Complex, the Chillán Hot Springs, the Nevados de Chillán ski center, the Shangri-La Valley, the Huemul Lagoon and the Pincheira Cave, as well as being part of the Nevados de Chillán - Laguna del Laja Biological Corridor and the services it offers in terms of winter sports, mountain sports, and lodging. Initially it was constituted as a farm where travelers rested on their way to the hot springs.
