# La Rosière

At La Rosière, holidaymakers have the unique opportunity to cross country borders on skis. Situated on a sunny south-facing terrace high above the Tarentaise valley is the ideal winter sports resort for the family, linked since 1986 to the Italian ski area La Thuile, which can be reached with the same ski passport. From the ski resort at an altitude of 1,850 metres to the highest point of the Espace San Bernardo ski area at 2,650 metres, tourists in La Rosière can also admire the exceptional panorama of the surrounding mountain world, including Mont Blanc. The southern orientation of the ski resort close to the border also offers plenty of sunshine, which, combined with the traditionally built chalets, ensures a pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere in La Rosière. In terms of the network of slopes, the two-country ski area Espace San Bernardo offers a total of 150 kilometres of slopes which are beautifully linked with 38 lifts. The Piccolo San Bernardo Express and Fourclaz Express ski lifts make it possible to change ski areas across borders in just a few minutes.
