# Méribel 

Located in the heart of the great ski area of Les Trois Vallées, Méribel is surrounded by impressive pine forests and is considered an exclusive ski area with a distinguished atmosphere that perfectly combines its modern ski resort with the traditional Savoyard architectural style of most of its wood-clad chalets. In addition to the Méribel-Centre, Méribel-Village and Méribel-Mottaret districts, located between 1,400 and 1,750 metres above sea level, the second of the three valleys that make up the Trois Vallées ski area, the Vallée des Allue is also home to the spa town of Les Bains, at an altitude of 600 metres, and the valley resort of Les Allues, at 1,100 metres above sea level. Mont du Vallon, at an altitude of 2,950 metres, is the highest skiable peak in this ski area. Méribel owes its popularity above all to the fact that it is situated in the centre of the Trois Vallées, from where you can easily explore the whole ski area. It is also connected by funicular to the Belleville valley and the Courchevel valley, so it can boast of being next to the largest ski area in the world, but the Méribel valley itself also offers numerous slopes with varied landscapes, large areas of snow and attractive runs to suit all tastes. All this without forgetting Méribel's reputation as a family ski resort.
