# San Vigilio di Marebbe

San Vigilio di Marebbe is located in Alto Adige, in the valley of Mareo and right on the edge of Val Badia. The church of San Vigilio di Trento, in the centre of the village, dates back to the 13th century but has a Baroque façade and a Gothic bell tower. Next to it is the statue of Katharina Lanz, known as the Joan of Arc of the Tyrol. Visit the Great Ciasa, or Ras Castle.
The surrounding area is the Fanes-Sennes-Braies nature park, with its enormous gorges, numerous hiking trails, pastures, huts and shelters. Don't miss the Braies lake, with its emerald waters, at the top of the Plan de Corones.
In winter, you can ski on its 100 km of slopes or go snowshoeing in the forest. For those who prefer absolute relaxation, you can book a wellness hotel and spend your afternoons in the spa. In summer, you can experience thrills on the zip line or explore the trails by mountain bike. The lifts also work for bicycles.
