# El Tarter

El Tarter is a village in Andorra belonging to the parish of Canillo. In the winter months it becomes a ski village. You can ski along the 210 km of the Grandvalira ski area, the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees. The resort is accessed from Encamp, Canillo, El Tarter, Soldeu, Grau Roig, Pas de la Casa and Porte des Neiges. The village is at 1700 m above sea level and the top of the ski area is at 2580 m. The cable car, starting from the Tarter car park, reaches 2250 m, where the snowboarding and skiing schools are located, as well as some restaurants. From this point it is possible to access the highest parts of the resort with the emblematic slopes "Miquel" or "Llop".
