# Saint-Lary

Already in the 19th century Saint-Lary was a popular holiday area in the middle of the Pyrenees and has a long tradition as a spa town. For over 100 years, spa guests have found their way here to have their respiratory or rheumatic complaints treated. In addition, the authentic mountain village near the Spanish border has also made a name for itself as a winter sports area. Along with two younger high-altitude stations, Saint-Lary 1700 / Pla d'Adet and Saint-Lary 1900, the original Saint-Lary Village at 830 meters provides access to one of the largest skiing areas in the Pyrenees.

There are two separate ski areas around both elevation stations, which are complemented by the third and highest slope area Saint-Lary 2400. From Saint-Lary Village, ski-vacationers can either drive to the 9 and 11-kilometers from altitude stations or by gondola and cable car. These can be reached in just 8 minutes from the Saint-Lary 1700 ski station, from which winter sports enthusiasts can conquer the entire Saint-Lary ski area with its 100 kilometers of pistes.
