# Cimone Sci

Known as the largest mountain in the northern Apennines, Monte Cimone is home to an important winter ski resort, Cimone Sci, located in the province of Modena on the border with Tuscany, whose lifts allow you to reach the summit in any season. A cable car connects Passo del Lupo, which can also be reached by car, to Pian Cavallaro, from where it is possible to reach the summit in about an hour and a half. Trails for all tastes, with more than 600 metres of elevation gain, wind along the three slopes of the mountain.
The relief is also a popular destination due to the presence, on its slopes, of the tectonic Lake della Ninfa. Near the lake, surrounded by beech and conifer woods, there is an alpine ski slope of medium difficulty, a cross-country ski slope, a snowpark and a baby park with inflatable games.
From April onwards, the mountain slopes are covered with grass and the Cimone Bike Park season opens, offering the opportunity to test yourself on trails of all levels of difficulty until autumn. Absolute beginners have Easy Rider, the easiest trail, at their disposal, while those who are already familiar with it can take on the more difficult trails.
