# Alagna Valsesia

Alagna is the last village of Valsesia and lies at the foot of the south face of Monte Rosa.
Over the years, its landscape has made it the perfect destination for lovers of snow and mountain sports in winter and summer: skiing - especially off-piste skiing - but also hiking, climbing and mountaineering. The cultural peculiarity of the village is the still living presence of the old Walser tradition, the German-speaking Swiss people whose houses can be seen in the upper part of the village. Not to be missed, in the village of Pedemonte, is the Walser Museum, a representative Walser house in which the arrangement of the furniture, the setting, the objects and the working tools tell the history and the culture of this ancient village.
