# Batea Mahuida

Villa Pehuenia is located in the middle of the northern shore of Lake Aluminé, surrounded by mountain ranges: to the west the main -or axial- cord of the Andes, which have an average altitude of 2500 m above sea level, and to the north the branches of the Andes mountain range with the peak of Mount Batea Mahuida, a mountain of 1706 m above sea level, which is almost immediately north of the town of Villa Pehuenia. Its landscapes are composed of high snow-capped mountains, lakes of glacial origin.
