# Sestola

Among the most famous localities of the Modenese Apennines is undoubtedly Sestola, a holiday resort appreciated all year round. At the foot of Mount Cimone, it pleases lovers of nature, sport and outdoor activities as well as those who prefer culture, traditions and mountain flavours.
The historic centre of the village is located near a rocky spur on which stands the ancient fortress, which includes both the Museo della Civiltà Montanara and the Museo degli Strumenti Musicali Meccanici, as well as hosting several temporary exhibitions. Among them are those leading to Passo del Falco, Passo del Lupo, Lake della Ninfa and the Esperia garden, a botanical oasis of national importance.
