# La Joue du Loup

Two neighbouring resorts could hardly be more different than SuperDèvoluy and La Joue du Loup. Whilst the oldest of the two winter ski-resorts, SuperDèvoluy, is known for its futuristic look and its gigantic, central main building, the ski-tourists in La Joue du Loup can expect quite the opposite. Characterised by its small buildings and especially cosy chalets built in a traditional style, La Joue du Loup is often referred to as the „wooden resort.“

The beautiful skiing village, which was built in 1976 at an altitude of 1500 meters, is the perfect holiday resort for relaxed skiing holidays with the whole family. Ski-tourists can also benefit from the extremely short routes within the resort, whether it be to the lifts and the slopes or to the lively village centre with its shops, restaurants and bars.

At the same time the sunny ski-resort’s connection to one of the largest skiing areas in the french southern alps is ideal. A hybrid lift, that is furnished with seats as well as cable cars, and an additional chairlift bring winter sports enthusiasts directly from Joue du Loup right into the centre of the piste-district SuperDevoluy. It is necessary to use an additional lift to reach the central La Pierra summit.
