# Nova Levante

Nova Levante - Welschnofen, is situated in a magnificent position at the foot of the Catinaccio mountain, between the Upper Val d'Ega and the Costalunga pass. The back side of the Val d'Ega can be reached by two roads that divide in the middle of the valley: One leads to Nova Ponente with Obereggen, while the eastern one leads to Nova Levante and the famous Lake Carezza and the Costalunga pass, the pass to the Val di Fassa valley in Trentino. On the winding mountain road between these two districts lies the idyllic Lake Carezza, a real natural gem. The water shimmers emerald green in the sunlight, reflecting the peaks of the Catinaccio and Latemar mountains. The lake's surroundings stretch through alpine meadows and high forests to the imposing massifs of Catinaccio and Latemar.
