# Courchevel

Families, groups of young party-goers or discerning skiers all have a wonderful time in Courchevel. This world-famous ski resort, which gives its name to one of the three valleys of the Trois Vallées, is made up of three separate districts at different altitudes, so while Courchevel 1550 is a favourite ski destination for families with children, Courchevel 1650 has become a meeting point for young people who place great importance on a varied range of leisure and après-ski activities. However, this winter sports village, considered the pioneer of ski resorts in France, is above all famous for its highest district, Courchevel 1850, which usually hosts the crème de la crème of politics, sport and the media, and therefore offers exclusive and expensive accommodation, restaurants and bars, in contrast to the other two districts, which offer a more affordable price/quality ratio.
