# Capilla del Monte

Capilla del Monte is an Argentine city and municipality. It is located in the Punilla department, province of Córdoba, Argentina, 109 km from the city of Córdoba and 725 km from Buenos Aires. It is well known for being located at the foot of Mount Uritorco. Climbing Cerro Uritorco is considered a feasible trek for most people and during the day hiring a tour guide is not essential, although it is recommended in many cases. The situation of course changes completely during the night, when it is not possible to do any kind of activity without the assistance of a trained professional. For this reason, the Cerro Uritorco Complex offers the possibility of night excursions led by specialized guides, apart from going up by yourself during the day.
